- Done-With-You $4,997 build: refundable only if we miss the 21-day delivery (~$145 Stripe fee non-recoverable). Once any SCORM is delivered, non-refundable.
Request from /contact. Full policy at /terms.
How do I delete my account or my data?
Send a deletion request from /contact using your account email. We remove your account, modules, and uploaded files within seven days and email you to confirm.
How do I export a finished module?
Open your Dashboard and locate the Module. Click Download then select the version you prefer.
Which browsers does Scormio support?
Current versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Safari. Generated SCORM modules run wherever your LMS supports a modern browser.
My module failed to build. What should I do?
Open your Dashboard and locate the Module. Failed builds show the step and a short error. Try a smaller or simpler source if the file was unusual. If it's not obvious, send us the module id using /contact and we'll check the logs.
What is Scormio?
Scormio turns documents, slides, audio, and articles into SCORM-ready training modules. Upload source material, pick an instructional model and visual style, and Scormio drafts a full module — slides, narration, images, quizzes — that you review in the browser and download as SCORM 1.2, SCORM 2004, or HTML5.
How does Scormio work?
Upload source material, choose an instructional model and visual style, and Scormio generates a draft in minutes. Review every slide in the browser — edit text, swap images, regenerate narration, send for review, address comments — then download a SCORM package for your LMS. Credits meter generation and regeneration so cost matches the work.
How long does it take to generate a course?
A typical 12-slide module finishes in a few minutes. Longer or deeper modules take proportionally longer. The module page shows live build status.
Who owns the content I generate?
You do. Modules generated from your source material are yours to use, distribute, and modify. The underlying authoring tooling and visual presets remain Scormio's.
Can I see a sample course before signing up?
A sample module is at /demo. To try the generator before subscribing, sign up at /#pricing on Starter monthly — download a SCORM within 28 days to qualify for a first-month refund while your subscription continues.
Can I import existing Articulate Storyline or Rise files?
Not at this time. Scormio generates from source documents and audio, not from other authoring tools' project files. Upload the original briefs, scripts, or PDFs those courses were built from and Scormio will draft a new module from them.
What's the difference between Scormio and Articulate or Rise?
Scormio writes the first draft; you review and edit. Articulate Rise and Storyline expect you to build slide by slide. Scormio is fastest when you have source material and want a draft to refine; manual tools win when every slide is bespoke from scratch. Exports the same SCORM 1.2 / 2004 your LMS already accepts.
Will my completed courses keep working if I cancel?
Yes. SCORM zips you've downloaded run independently of Scormio — they live in your LMS and don't call back to our servers. Courses published to our hosted LMS stop being served when your subscription ends.
Do you support SAML SSO?
Enterprise contracts can include SAML SSO. Starter, Standard, and Pro use email + magic-link sign-in. Reach us at /contact to scope SSO — providers, attribute mapping, JIT provisioning.
Does Scormio support xAPI?
Not yet. Scormio exports SCORM 1.2, SCORM 2004, and self-contained HTML5. If xAPI is a requirement, reach us at /contact and we'll confirm timing.
Can my team collaborate on the same course?
Yes. Every paid plan includes author seats (Starter 1, Standard 3, Pro 10, Enterprise unlimited). Owners invite and remove teammates from /team in the dashboard. If you need more seats than your plan includes, upgrade or contact us and we'll help set up the right workspace. Real-time co-editing of a single slide is not yet supported.
How do I pick colors for my brand?
Open a module's Design tab in the review portal. You can choose a visual preset, switch light/dark mode, upload your logo and background image. There are no individual brand-color fields yet.
Can I pause my subscription between projects?
No pause button, but cancel and re-subscribe whenever you need. Already-generated modules stay in your dashboard and downloaded SCORM zips keep working. Reach us at /contact for a multi-month gap.
What does the audioOutOfSync chip mean?
Shows on a slide when narration text was edited but the audio hasn't been regenerated — what you'd hear no longer matches what you'd read. Click Regenerate Narration on the slide, or revert the text change.
Why is the Approve button greyed out?
On strict-mode modules, the Approve button stays disabled until every grounding flag on the current step is resolved — either Mark Verified or edited. Once the last flag clears, the button re-enables. Relaxed-mode modules don't gate Approve on flags.
How does grounding work?
After generation, Scormio compares every sentence in narration, image prompts, and slide content against your source material. Sentences without supporting text get a grounding flag. To resolve a flag, open the slide, click the flag, and choose Mark Verified — or edit/remove the sentence.
Why doesn't my regenerated image appear in the preview?
The preview reloads automatically when a regeneration finishes. If the new image still doesn't show up, check the slide's image versions strip — every regen is listed there, and clicking an entry restores it. If the regeneration itself failed, a "Regenerate failed" toast appears at the moment of failure rather than a persistent banner — try again, or check that your credit balance is positive.
How do I change the background image?
Open the module's Design tab. The Background section lets you upload a custom image or pick from the built-in library. Per-slide modes (on, blur, off) control how each slide composes against it — title and summary default to "on" (image as hero); content slides default to "blur" for readability.
Where is data stored?
Scormio runs in a single managed region today — application servers, database, and module storage live together. No per-tier geographic split. Enterprise customers with a data-residency requirement can raise it at /contact during procurement.
Is Scormio SOC 2 compliant?
Reach us at /contact for the current state of our SOC 2 program and any reports we can share under NDA.
Is Scormio GDPR compliant?
Yes. Scormio honors data-subject access and deletion requests, offers a DPA, and limits processing to what's needed to generate and serve your modules. For specifics — DPA, sub-processors, transfer mechanisms — reach us at /contact.
Can we sign a DPA or custom contract?
Yes — a standard DPA for GDPR-scoped customers, and custom MSA review for Enterprise contracts. Send the request from /contact with your legal contact.
What is Scormio's data retention policy?
Active subscription: modules and source uploads stay stored. Lapsed subscription with credit packs: retained for 90 days of inactivity — any sign-in resets the clock. Lapsed subscription with no credits: retained for 30 days. Deleting a module removes its sources and outputs immediately. Request account deletion at /contact and we delete within seven days and email confirmation. Legal or compliance retention is the only exception.
Can we pay by invoice or purchase order?
Annual Enterprise plans can support invoicing and POs. Monthly and Annual plans are credit card via Stripe.
What audit logs are available?
The Credits page (/credits) shows a Ledger of credit transactions — timestamp, action, source, credits, and the related module. Enterprise customers with audit-log requirements can scope what's needed via /contact.
Who do I contact for procurement, security, or legal questions?
Reach us at /contact for procurement, security questionnaires, DPA requests, or contract-language questions. The form routes to the right team; we typically respond within one business day.
Are course files self-contained or do they call out to Scormio?
Self-contained. Once loaded into your LMS the course runs locally inside the SCORM player — no call back to Scormio's servers at runtime. The zip includes all HTML, JS, CSS, audio, and images.
Can I inspect the contents of a SCORM package?
Yes. A SCORM package is a standard zip — extract it and inspect every file. imsmanifest.xml at the root describes the course structure; HTML/JS/CSS render the slides; mp3s carry narration and json files carry captions.
What does the SCORM manifest look like?
A standard imsmanifest.xml at the root of the zip. Declares the course id, title, resources, and organization structure. Scormio emits a single-SCO manifest — one module, one entry-point HTML. SCORM 2004 packages also include sequencing rules.
What credit cost is regenerating a single slide?
Surgical regens skip the rest of the module — you only pay for the slide you changed, priced by the actual work that slide takes. An image regen is 1 credit. Narration regen and adding a new slide are a few credits each; the exact cost is shown on the button before you confirm.
How much faster is Scormio than authoring manually?
The first draft of a 12-slide module finishes in minutes rather than the hours or days of manual authoring. You'll still spend review and refinement time on the draft, but the slide-by-slide build is done for you.
Is there a fee for downgrading mid-cycle?
No fee. Switch tiers from the Billing page anytime — the change takes effect at the start of your next cycle, you keep current-plan access until then, and unused credits roll over per the standard rules.
Can I keep my brand colors and fonts?
The Design tab lets you choose a visual preset, switch light/dark mode, upload a logo, and set the module background. Individual brand-color fields, font-pair selection, custom font upload, and a Custom CSS panel aren't currently exposed.
Which SCORM 2004 edition does Scormio use?
SCORM 2004 4th Edition. The manifest declares schemaversion "2004 4th Edition" and uses the adlcp_v1p3 namespace. HTML5 export is a self-contained alternative for non-SCORM hosting.
Does Scormio support cmi.core.lesson_location resume?
Yes. SCORM 1.2 modules write the current slide id to cmi.core.lesson_location at every transition and restore it on next launch. SCORM 2004 uses the equivalent cmi.location. Learners returning to a partially-completed module are taken back to the last slide they left.
What's the maximum module size?
40 slides per module, with a large single-pass storyboard budget for every author — no toggles, no tier-gates. Sources larger than the storyboard budget are chunked section-by-section by the pipeline automatically, so even long compliance briefs land in a single module rather than failing or truncating.
When should I use Bloom's vs Gagne's framework?
Bloom's Taxonomy is best for skill ladders and knowledge mastery — progressing learners from remembering facts to applying and evaluating them. Gagné's Nine Events fits procedural and onboarding content with a predictable rhythm (attention → objectives → present → practice → assess). For scenario-driven training pick Scenario; for short refreshers pick Microlearning.
How do I regenerate a slide's image?
Open the slide in the review portal, click the image, and choose Regenerate. Edit the image prompt and select Regenerate. The image refreshes in place and an entry is added to the slide's image versions strip so you can restore older versions if you prefer them.
Can I upload my own image for a slide?
Yes. In the review portal, click the image and choose Upload — pick a JPG, PNG, or WebP. Uploads land in the slide's image versions strip alongside AI-generated versions; switch between them with a click.
Can Scormio use the images already in my source document?
Yes. On the module intake form, open Customize → Images and choose "Use images from source." Scormio analyzes the images embedded in your uploaded file and matches them to the slides they illustrate. Works with .zip, .pptx, and .docx uploads. If no usable images are found, affected slides fall back to placeholder images instead of failing generation — you can replace them in the review portal afterward.
How do I add a new slide?
Two flows today, depending on the review stage:
- Outline Review: click + Add slide at the bottom, select a slide type, then set it to the desired position.
- Storyboard Review: click + Add Slide, choose which slide to place it after, pick a slide type, and choose AI fill or blank.
Adding a slide from the review portal isn't supported yet.
How do I change the voice on the narration?
The voice is selected once when the new module is created. There is not currently a way to change the selected voice after this point. Changing the voice after the narration is generated would require regenerating each slide's narration, which spends credits per slide. Please let us know via /contact if that is a capability you would like added.
Can I preview a slide before approving it?
Yes. The review portal renders every slide live as you edit, in the same player a learner would see — narration, captions, transitions, and assessment logic intact. Click between slides to preview the whole flow. You can download the SCORM zip or add it to your LMS when you are happy with the results.
How do I add a quiz at the end of my module?
Every module includes a final assessment slide by default — the storyboard verifier requires one. The instructional model shapes tone and question style (Compliance: policy-heavy, 80% pass threshold; Scenario: situation-framed; Microlearning: 2–3 questions; Bloom's and Gagné's: higher-order practice). To edit, open the assessment slide in the review portal — questions & answers are editable in place.
What types of interactions can Scormio build?
- Content: title, summary, content-bullets, content-callout, content-stat, content-definition, content-full-bleed, content-side-by-side, content-steps, content-timeline, content-comparison, content-slideshow.
- Knowledge checks & assessments: mcq, true-false, multiple-select, matching, sequencing, fill-in-blank, categorization, final assessment slide.
- Scenario & minigame: conversation (branching dialogue), flashcard, timed-challenge.
- Navigation: topic-hub for non-linear flow.
Every slide type ships with narration, captions, and SCORM tracking. Conversations are single-slide trees with multiple paths converging on optimal / acceptable / poor outcomes — no cross-slide branching or persistent state.
Will I lose my credits if I downgrade?
Unused monthly credits roll over capped at the new (lower) tier's monthly allotment — any excess expires at the downgrade boundary. Pack-purchased credits never expire and carry forward unchanged.
Can I export my source uploads before canceling?
There's no user-facing way to re-download source uploads today. They're retained internally for regeneration and module rebuilds, but the only download from the dashboard is the built SCORM/HTML5 zip. Keep local copies of files you may want back; reach us at /contact if you need a specific source retrieved.
If I delete my account, can I sign up later with the same email?
Yes. Once the deletion completes (within seven days of the request), you can sign up again with the same email — it's a new account with no carry-over of previous data.
Does Scormio work in Cornerstone, Moodle, or Workday Learning?
Scormio exports SCORM 1.2, SCORM 2004 4th Edition, and HTML5. Any LMS that conforms to those standards will run Scormio modules — including Cornerstone OnDemand, Moodle, Workday Learning, Docebo, SAP SuccessFactors, and most others. Edge-case differences are usually in score reporting; reach us at /contact if your LMS does something unusual.
Is my uploaded source material used to train AI models?
No. Scormio does not train models on customer source material. Generation runs through commercial third-party model APIs that contractually do not train on API content. Uploads stay scoped to producing your module.
How do we add and remove author seats?
Owners manage included author seats from the /team page in the dashboard. Add someone by sending an invite; remove someone by clicking Remove next to the teammate. If your plan's included seats are full, upgrade or contact us and we'll help set up the right workspace.
How many credits does one course use?
Module cost depends on slide count, image mode, and narration length, so it varies module to module. The credits-cost preview on the outline-approval and storyboard-approval screens shows the exact number before you commit, so you always see the cost before spending a credit.
What happens if I run out of credits mid-month?
Generation and regeneration stop with a clear error and a buy-a-pack CTA — no automatic overage charge to your card. Buy a credit pack from the Credits page and operations resume immediately. Your subscription stays active and existing modules remain accessible.
Can I buy more credits on demand?
Yes. Credit packs are available any time from the Credits page: 250 credits for $25, 700 credits for $55, 1,500 credits for $99, and 4,000 credits for $225. Packs never expire — they sit in your balance until used. The buy flow runs through Stripe.
Do unused credits roll over?
Yes — unused monthly credits roll over up to 1x your monthly allotment, then expire. Pack-purchased credits never expire. Consumption order is monthly first, then pack, so older monthly credits are used before pack credits to minimize loss to expiry.
Can I disable narration for one slide?
Yes. Open the slide in the review portal and use the narration toggle on the slide card — the narration UI hides on slides where it's disabled. To turn narration off for the whole module, use the Design tab's narration toggle — the module rebuilds with no audio and the SCORM package omits TTS files.
Can I lock a slide so a regeneration doesn't change it?
Per-slide regeneration lock isn't supported today. Image regens are versioned — each version stays in the slide's image versions strip so you can switch back with a click. Manual edits to text or narration persist until you regenerate that slide; nothing in the background overwrites them.
Where do I upload my company logo?
Open the module intake page or the Design tab and use the Logo upload field — pick a PNG, JPG, or SVG. Replace it by uploading a new file or clear it with the Remove logo checkbox on save.
How big is a typical SCORM zip from Scormio?
Under 1 MB for a typical 12-slide AI-image module. Heavier-narration modules land in the 2–3 MB range. Size scales with slide count and audio length — the package is self-contained (HTML, JS, CSS, audio, images all included).
Can a SME comment on my draft without an account?
Yes. From your dashboard, select more actions, then Share Review to copy a review link — anyone with the link can open /review/:token, review the module, and leave comments without signing up. SMEs can comment but not edit; feedback flows back into the module's comment thread.
Does Scormio support branching scenarios like Storyline?
Yes — two ways. The primary is the topic-hub slide type, which gives learners non-linear navigation across the module. The other is the conversation slide type — a single-slide branching dialogue tree with multiple choices and paths converging on optimal / acceptable / poor outcomes (scored 100 / 50 / 0). Per-slide answers persist on revisit (selected answer, submitted state, feedback). What's not supported: variables one slide sets for another to read, or multi-slide branching where one slide's answer determines which slide comes next. Use /contact if there is a capability you would like to request.
Are you a real person?
I'm Mio, Scormio's product assistant — an AI bot trained on Scormio's product documentation. I can answer questions about how Scormio works, pricing, modules, exports, and your account. For anything I can't answer, /contact reaches the team.
